My Works

Writings of a West Virginia Paper Boy
Book One

I was in awe of how the cover of the first book looked containing the thoughts that had found their way out of my head.  The expression on my face immediately let the printer know changes were needed before publication. A simple layout change made the book flow better. With in the first year of publication two of my writings were read at public events.  Hearing your written work presented in public by someone else is an exhilarating experience!

One night as I sat down to write, inspiration helped me create the poem "Miracle Park" about

the birth of a special needs child.  Knowing that the opening of Miracle Park of Gallatin was in the near future.  I emailed a copy of the poem to the contact person at the Parks Department not knowing she had a special needs child.  She set in motion a plan to have my poem read at the official grand opening.

I am very passionate about events that have transpired in our country especially the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. Three Hundred Forty Three firefighters died that day

trying to help others survive an incident that terrorists put in motion.  "343" was read at the 9/11 Ceremony in Gallatin, TN by a young firefighter who had just completed rookie class.

Writings of a West Virginia Paper Boy: Morning Edition
Book Two

Second book found its way to the printer in  early 2023. Layout of the pages and the pictures improved in this edition as I became more familiar with the program. Giving more time to the development of my technique writing became more prolific. Writings from both books continued to be read at Kiwanis Club meetings, public gathering, and private parties.

The poem in this book titled "Gifted" was my first writing published in the  local newspaper, "Gallatin News."

Writings of a West Virginia Paper Boy: Afternoon Snippets
Book Three

Afternoon Snippets my third book, is now in print and offers the reader a visual literary ride. Which comes first the picture or the narrative is left for the reader to decide. Using less words to get thoughts on paper provides many additional writings.

Writings from this book have been published in the "Gallatin News" as my work becomes a regular contributor to this local media.

Did you know a Tractor could talk? (find it in Book Three)
